Obama or Romney, Power or Persuasion?

In November, the choice between Obama or Romney is at its core a choice between power or persuasion.

Honest individuals on the left and right would be compelled to agree that most of Obama’s ideas require the use of force, the power of government, in order to implement. Obamacare, higher taxes, restricted energy exploration, bank bailouts, “The Buffet Rule”, cap and trade, the list goes on.

A Romney presidency, on the other hand, would be characterized by a shift towards free enterprise. What does that mean to the average person. For starters, it means that force is taken out of our daily lives. No matter how big or how successful a corporation is, in a free enterprise system that corporation has no more power to force you to buy its products than the average hot dog vendor (with no disrespect to hot dog vendors). That includes Exxon, Walmart, Microsoft and all the other mega-companies that often come under attack by “community organizers” and the liberal media.

What’s more important is that in order to gain customer loyalty, companies like those mentioned above are compelled to PERSUADE YOU, not force you as Obama would with Obamacare, to do business with them. One only has to take note of the plethora of daily discounts, special offers, free trials, guarantees and bonus points one receives from these and thousands of other companies in order to objectively compare these two presidencies. Do you think you’ll get this kind of courting from the medical community under Obamacare?

Come November, please ask yourself, “Do I want to be motivated by power or persuasion.”'

Side Note: Congressman Rohrabacher (CA 46) had the vision and courage to submit Congressional Resolution H.RES.422 regarding the “Superiority of Capitalism as an economic model.” Capitalism, by definition a system of voluntary mutually beneficial exchange, is a system characterized by the absence of force and the pervasiveness of persuasion. “The Rohrabacher Rule” can be read at this link. If you support the ideas presented in this bill, please click this link to email ANY Representative, asking them to join Congressman Rohrabacher by Co-Sponsoring this resolution.
