In discussions with Leftists on a variety of topics, a common path is followed when things get contentious:
Leftists will attempt to take the moral high ground, though undeserved, through self-anointed positioning. Facts won’t matter.
Leftists will attempt to take the intellectual high ground typically by citing his or her credentials or experience. Facts won’t matter.
Leftists will cite consensus, typically from a cherry picked collection of articles, websites or other like minded groups. Facts won’t matter.
Out of desperation, Leftists will segue to Saul Alinski’s Rule for Radicals #5: “Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon” and #11. “Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, polarize it.” In other words, expect ad hominem attacks followed by warped accusations that you’re “playing the victim.”
If the discussion is happening on Facebook, expect to be unfriended after you’ve frustrated Leftists with unassailable facts that matter and reason.
On DACA, Leftists are at step 1, and it’s here that they must be aggressively challenged. The primary weapon being used against anyone who disagrees with their position on DACA will be your own virtue. Anyone who disagrees will be labeled bigoted, heartless, inhumane and racist. These accusations must be immediately and righteously reversed. Leftists will attempt to make you feel guilty when it is THEY who are culpable and who should bare the burden of shame.
Leftists are trying vigorously to corrode the foundations of the society every immigrant who comes to America wants to join. There can be only one destination for America if its Constitution is destroyed and that’s as a land of slaves, ruled by bigoted, heartless racist thugs.
The U.S. Constitution is among the most important political documents in human history. It begat and sustains the greatest nation ever to exist. There is a Constitutional process for making and enforcing laws pertaining to immigration. Let’s not let Leftists destroy our Constitution and American ideals with a corrupt and perverse ideology for which they should be accountable. Don’t yield the moral high ground to Leftists on DACA. It’s ours!
